Evelina Charity

At Evelina London we want to enable every child and young person to live their best lives today and tomorrow. Part of that is ensuring that our patients are able to spend as much time as possible close to the ones that they love. Our Hospital has been caring for children and their families for 150 years. The hospital provides world-leading treatment to children and their families, treating children of all ages; from babies in the womb through to young adulthood. We are the UK’s leading hospital for paediatric heart services and a specialist in kidney transplants and dialysis, cleft lip surgery, metabolic conditions, allergy and neurology, receiving children from all over the country.

Our hospital admits over 20,000 children a year, treats 27,000 in its emergency department and sees over 100,000 outpatients, with thousands more cared for by its community services in Lambeth and Southwark. Having an unwell child is incredibly stressful for all the family and can often mean a lot of time spent away from home. At Evelina London we look after the whole family, giving parents from far afield a room to live in, teaching siblings in the hospital school and making sure patients are given the support they need as well as time to play, which is vital for their development.

Every donation you make goes towards improving care for sick children. From life-saving research and the latest medical equipment, to the little
things that help make a stay in hospital less scary for young patients. Some of the ways your support could help patients at Evelina London includes –

  • Play and music therapy to ease the stress of medical procedures
  • Brand new, top of the range equipment not covered by the NHS budget
  • Sensory equipment to help us soothe and entertain children
  • Life-saving research, like our LEAP peanut allergy study, which is informing international treatment guidelines
  • Funds to expand the hospital to look after every child, now and in the future

Thanks to your support, we can go above and beyond what the NHS can provide. Your support will enable us to improve our hospital environment, facilities and equipment helping us provide the best possible care to our young patients and their families.
